My name is Tammy Nguyen, I am a senior at Merrimack College, and my major is nutrition. This summer I interned at Ellen Byron and Associates. It was a great opportunity to intern and learn how to run your own business and private practice. While interning here, Ellen has taught me what it is like to run a business and all that goes into it. She taught me how to talk to insurance companies. Learning how to file patient’s paperwork's in Kalix, which is a website where we book appointments. At first, I was nervous because I did not know what to do but I am a fast learner and knew how to do everything in two weeks. Working with Ellen was a great experience because I loved how she helped me even though I made some mistakes along the way. Ellen has shown through her business experience over the years that things are not always easy or will go the way you should like them too and I hope to use these skills I learned and apply it when I graduate.
