About the Recipe

Grilled cantaloupe with famine is a great combination of sweet and spice for a delicious fruity snack, side or dessert! Bring great new flavor to this classic summer fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe cantaloupe, cut into spears and rinds removed

  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon tajin seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • optional toppings - additional tajin seasoning and flaky sea salt

Preparation

  1. Heat grill (or grill pan) to high heat. 

  2. Brush the cantaloupe slices with olive oil and sprinkle the tajin seasoning on top. 

  3. Place the cantaloupe on the grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until dark grill marks appear. After both sides have been grilled, remove and let rest for 3 minutes.

  4. Drizzle the honey across the cantaloupe and top with additional tajin seasoning (if desired) or a sprinkle of sea salt.
